The Advanced Leadership Conference 2024, themed “Beyond Borders,” took place at the Emerald Energy Institute, University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The event gathered influential speakers, guests, and participants focused on advancing leadership, success, and sustainable development across various sectors.

The conference commenced with an opening prayer, followed by a rendition of the Nigerian National Anthem. Ambassador Daniel Emmanuel Goodluck, the event convener, warmly welcomed the speakers, guests, and participants, providing an overview of the conference’s objectives.

Ambassador Dr. Vivian Anyanwu delivered the opening address on “Global Positioning for Success,” emphasizing the importance of inner peace with the words, “If you must give peace, you must have peace.”

Mr. Asaba KP Asaba, the second speaker, expanded on “Global Positioning for Success,” inspiring attendees with memorable statements, such as, “You don’t endure life; you enjoy life,” and, “When you fail, you don’t fail alone; you fail a generation.”

Returning to the stage, Ambassador Goodluck discussed “Global Positioning for Leadership Development.” He highlighted the importance of setting goals and taking incremental steps toward success, noting, “A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.”

The conference featured goodwill messages from Special Guest of Honour, Senator Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, former Deputy Governor of Rivers State and current Senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District. Represented by Comrade Walson Ekene, her speech resonated deeply with the audience, underscoring the spirit of the event.

A panel session followed, with Mr. Daniel Agi discussing “Global Positioning for Sustainable Development,” while Miss Princess Ekakitie spoke on “Global Positioning for Success in the Health Sector.” Each panelist provided actionable insights and meaningful perspectives on these vital topics.

Moderated by David Goodluck and Osuji Favour Chinonso, the event concluded with an awards ceremony honoring individuals who have made positive impacts in society. The recognitions celebrated the achievements of attendees who embody the values of leadership and community service.

The conference was a resounding success, and anticipation is already building for the 2025 edition, expected to further inspire leadership and growth.
