Jide James Lawrence oyekanmi popularly known on stage as Jay Jay Max is an afrobeat Nigerian artist born in Lagos. He is a songwriter, music composer and great lover of sounds, rhythm and music.
In this brief interview with FameNet Africa, Jay Jay Max talks about his journey so far in the music career and his releases.
How long have you been in the music industry?
Well, I started from church from my young age. I do take praise and worship in Tuesdays and Thursday services in Redeem Christian Church of God. But I recorded my first songs in 2008. So, I can say that I joined the music industry professionally in 2008.
Why Music?
For me, Music is life. Music is my vision, my mission and my passion. Music gives me life and a means to express myself on what I have in me.
Can we get the lists of the songs you’ve released so far?
Yea, I have released many songs while still cooking some in the studio. Here are some I’ve released so far.

Which platforms can your fans stream your songs?
Well, I’ve not yet distributed the songs on major streaming platform but you can listen and download my songs on Naijaloaded and one of my video is on YouTube sexy lady. Anyways, my song will hit the streaming platforms soon.
You are a member of FameNet Tribe Ikorodu Chapter, what can you say so far about the tribe?
Yes I’m a member of FameNet Tribe Ikorodu Chapter and I can say that FameNet have lots of things and great plan for young growing talents. A lot are yet to be unveiled from the tribe and we are on the lookout for positive vibes. I’m glad being part of this progressive movement.
You are currently on FameNet mixtape launch Tour and recently participated in two editions of the tour, what can you say about the tour?
The tour is moving well we are grateful to God about the last edition. The tour is really helping us to get acquainted with each other from different chapters and growing our fan base. I trust God we are making progress.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
With the network of team I have in FameNet Tribe, I believe that I will be known round the world through the tours in next 5 years.
What next should your fans expect from you?
My fans should be expecting more music from me, inspirational songs that will keep their soul and body together.
