Lagos, Nigeria — July 27, 2025

In a night that blended rhythm, resilience, and cultural pride, The Collaborative Concert lit up Freedom Park, Lagos, with a powerful showcase of Afrobeat, highlife, and contemporary African sounds. Co-convened by celebrated Nigerian artists AmEE, Labule, and Afowoslide, with Project leadership from King Sobrino the First, the event not only thrilled audiences—it made history.

The evening was filled with unforgettable moments, none more heartfelt than a touching exchange between AmEE and a German fan, Jakay:
“I came here for you. This is the second time I’m watching you, and I love your music.”
That singular moment captured the essence of the concert—music that connects across borders and hearts.

“We stretched ourselves beyond limits, but never lost sight of the goal,” said AmEE.
“It wasn’t just about entertainment,” added Labule. “It was about building a legacy of sound.”
“We didn’t just perform. We made history,” reflected Afowoslide.

A Tribute to Bola Browne

This year’s edition was dedicated to the late Bola Browne, whose early support and influence helped shape the vision of the concert. His absence was deeply felt, but his legacy continues through the unity he inspired.

The Collaborative Concert Becomes an Annual Tradition

Encouraged by overwhelming support, organizers officially announced that The Collaborative Concert will now hold annually.

“We’ve already begun planning for next year,” said AmEE. “Expect more artists, deeper collaborations, and an even more unforgettable experience.”
