Former President Goodluck Jonathan has called for unity and a renewed commitment to shared prosperity among Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora.

In a message shared via his Facebook handle on Friday, Jonathan congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the world as they mark Eid-el-Kabir, describing the festival as a powerful reminder of the enduring values of faith, devotion, sacrifice, and generosity.

“This significant day serves as a profound reminder of the virtues of faith, sacrifice, devotion, and generosity, which are values that resonate deeply across all humanity,” he stated.

Jonathan urged Nigerians to use the occasion to reflect and rededicate themselves to the ideals of peace, progress, and nation-building.

He added, “On this blessed occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt felicitations to our Muslim brothers and sisters across Nigeria and around the world.”
