1. Let’s meet you
My name is Pius Omirida Otumala, and I am professionally known as Rankey. I am an Afrobeat artist currently based in Nassarawa. I was born on the 6th of November, 1999, in Enugu State, Nigeria, to Mr. and Mrs. Simon Egbere Omirida. My background and upbringing have significantly shaped my personality and music. As an Afrobeat artist, I focus on creating sounds that connect emotionally with listeners while staying true to African rhythm and culture. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to building a distinct identity in the music space, driven by passion, consistency, and a strong belief in my craft.

2. What inspired or motivated you to pursue a career in music?
My love for music started very early in life. Growing up, I was inspired by both international and Nigerian music icons such as Michael Jackson, Psquare, 2Baba, Wizkid, Davido, and Drake. Their artistry, stage presence, and creativity deeply influenced me. I was particularly fascinated by the power of melody and how music could instantly uplift people’s moods. During my secondary school days, I would often sing in class and in the hostel, and the positive reactions and encouragement I received from my classmates boosted my confidence. Those experiences made me realize that music was more than just a hobby for me—it was something I was naturally drawn to and genuinely passionate about.

3. When did you officially begin your music career?
I officially began my professional music journey in 2019. Although I had been singing and developing my talent long before then, 2019 marked the year I decided to take music seriously as a career path. That was when I began recording professionally and working toward establishing myself in the industry.

4. Have you recorded or released any songs? If yes, kindly list all released songs.
Yes, I have released several songs since the start of my career. Some of my notable tracks include “My Ability (Remastered),” “Hazy,” “Define,” “Morning Perfect,” “Crazy for You,” and “Legend.” In addition, I have released “Can’t Feel Ma Face,” “For Me Now,” and “Concentrate.” Each of these songs represents a different stage of my growth as an artist. They reflect my evolving sound, improved songwriting skills, and commitment to delivering quality Afrobeat music to my audience.

5. Why did you register for the FameNet Reality TV Show 2026?
I registered for the FameNet Reality TV Show 2026 because I believe in the importance of platforms that connect emerging talents to wider audiences. FameNet offers an opportunity to bridge the gap between raw talent and global Visibility. I see it as a space where I can sharpen my craft, gain mentorship from experienced industry professionals, and showcase my unique Afrobeat sound to the world. It is a chance to elevate my career to the next level.

6. Do you believe you can be among the first 50 artists to reach 1,000 votes and qualify as a housemate?
Yes, I strongly believe it is possible. I have confidence in my talent and in the message my music carries. Over the years, I have worked hard to build my brand and connect with my audience. With the continued support of my community and fans, I am optimistic that reaching the 1,000-vote milestone is achievable. I believe in teamwork, dedication, and persistence, and I am ready to put in the effort required to secure a spot in the house.

7. What message do you have for your fans, and how can they support you to qualify for the show?
To my fans, I want to say thank you for being the driving force behind my journey. Your support, encouragement, and belief in me mean everything. I encourage you to continue standing by me by voting and spreading the word about my participation in FameNet. Every vote truly matters and brings us closer to turning this dream into reality. Together, we can make it happen.

8. How would you feel if you eventually qualify as one of the FameNet housemates?
Qualifying as a housemate would be a significant milestone in my career. It would be both an honor and a responsibility. I would feel proud to represent my fans and grateful for the opportunity. More importantly, I would use the experience to grow, learn, and improve both as an artist and as an individual.

9. Where do you see yourself in the next five (5) years?
In the next five years, I see myself becoming a recognized name in the Afrobeat scene, releasing award-winning projects that gain international attention. I aspire to top charts, perform on global stages, and mentor upcoming artists. Ultimately, I want to contribute meaningfully to the growth and global influence of African music.
