1. Briefly introduce yourself.

My real name is Doran Salem Ngakoya Y., and I am professionally known as LEM’S KARINOU, “The Radiant Star.” I am a versatile artist specializing in Rap, RnB, Afrobeat, Drill, and Trap. I currently reside in Lagos, Nigeria. I was born on April 25, 1994, in Bangui, Central African Republic. My parents are Dimanche Joseph Ngakoya and Mélanie Ngoyebolo. For me, music is more than a passion — it is a mission and a deep expression of my identity, culture, and life experiences.

2. What inspired or motivated you to pursue a career in music?

Music has been my refuge since childhood. Growing up, I found comfort and strength in sound and storytelling. I was deeply influenced by legendary artists such as Tupac Shakur, Naughty by Nature, and The Fugees. Their lyrical depth, authenticity, and fearless storytelling shaped my artistic vision. They showed me that music can educate, inspire, and awaken consciousness. I felt called to use my voice to tell real-life stories, express genuine emotions, and encourage young people to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams regardless of obstacles.

3. When did you officially begin your music career?

My musical journey began as early as the year 2000 when I started as a dancer in the group Full Force Junior. The group was initiated and led by my late elder brother, Sejo the Mercenary, who played a significant role in nurturing my passion. In 2005, I joined another rap group called Top Man, initiated and chaired by the rapper Top Oubanguin, where I also performed as a dancer. By 2009, I recorded my first studio project and began performing publicly. That year marked my full transition from dance into professional music recording and performance.

4. Have you recorded or released any songs? If yes, kindly list all released songs.

Yes, I have recorded and officially released several songs. Some of my published tracks include:
