1. Lets Meet You
My name is Okpetuen Tope Jame, widely recognized by my stage name Kulti. I am a dedicated Afrobeat artist currently based in Lagos, Nigeria, where I continue to develop my craft and pursue my musical dreams. I was born on April 28, 2004, in Edo State, Nigeria, into the family of Mr. Smart Okpetuen and Mrs. Bose Okpetuen, whose support and encouragement have played a major role in shaping my journey. To me, music is far more than entertainment—it is a calling that defines who I am. It represents my voice, my truth, and my purpose. Through music, I am able to communicate emotions, tell stories, and connect deeply with people from different walks of life.
2. What Inspired You to Pursue Music?
My inspiration for music began at a very early age. As a child, I was fascinated by how melodies and lyrics could influence people’s emotions, shift their moods, and bring individuals together regardless of their background. Watching African artists grow from local recognition to international stardom made me realize that music is a powerful force capable of transforming lives. I began to see music not just as a hobby but as a meaningful path that combines talent, passion, purpose, and impact. That realization motivated me to take my musical abilities seriously and dedicate myself to learning, growing, and improving every day.
3. When Did You Begin Your Music Career?
I officially began my musical journey at the age of seven. During my early years, I frequently sang in school events and church gatherings, experiences that strengthened my confidence and nurtured my love for performing. Those moments helped me build a solid foundation and connection with music that has continued to grow stronger over time. Since then, I have remained committed to developing my sound, refining my lyrical expression, and pushing myself creatively. Every stage of my journey has been a learning process that has shaped me into the artist I am today.

4. Have You Recorded or Released Any Songs?
Yes, I have recorded several songs as part of my growing catalog. Each recording represents a step forward in my artistic development and a reflection of my evolving style. I am currently preparing to release a new single scheduled to drop this Friday, and I am genuinely excited for my fans and listeners to hear it. This upcoming release is special to me because it showcases my growth, energy, and dedication to delivering quality Afrobeat music that resonates with audiences.
