The All Indie International Artist Radio Awards (AIIARA) is a prestigious annual awards platform established to recognize, celebrate, and honor outstanding independent artists from across the globe who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to promoting their music through radio stations across Africa and the international market.
Founded in 2026, AIIARA is committed to elevating the visibility of independent musicians by rewarding excellence, consistency, and strategic international radio promotion. The awards recognize artists who understand the importance of building a global audience through sustained radio airplay and professional promotional campaigns.
The inaugural edition of AIIARA will feature 20 outstanding independent artists representing diverse musical genres, including Hip-Hop, Afro-pop, Grime, Pop, R&B, and Rock Music. Each nominated artist will be evaluated not only on musical quality but also on their dedication to expanding their reach through consistent international radio promotion.
AIIARA’s international coverage spans multiple countries, creating a truly global platform for independent talent. Participating artists and radio stations will represent Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Benin Republic, Liberia, Cameroon, the United States, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and France, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and expanding opportunities for artists to connect with audiences worldwide.
To qualify for nomination, artists are expected to actively promote a minimum of twelve (12) songs across radio stations within the participating countries simultaneously. Nominees must also demonstrate continuous international promotional efforts, consistency in engaging with radio platforms, and a sustained commitment to growing their global presence throughout the award year. These standards ensure that AIIARA recognizes artists who are not only talented but also dedicated to building lasting international careers.
More than an awards ceremony, AIIARA serves as a platform for networking, collaboration, cultural exchange, and industry development. It brings together independent artists, radio broadcasters, DJs, music promoters, producers, entertainment executives, media professionals, and music enthusiasts to celebrate creativity while encouraging stronger partnerships between artists and radio stations worldwide.
The 2026 All Indie International Artist Radio Awards (AIIARA) will take place in December 2026 in Abuja, Nigeria, bringing together some of the most promising independent artists and influential stakeholders in the music industry. Guests can expect an unforgettable evening featuring red carpet appearances, live performances, award presentations, media coverage, networking opportunities, and celebrations of outstanding achievements in independent music.
As the first edition of the awards, artist registration and music submission are officially open. Independent artists from eligible countries are invited to register and submit their entries for an opportunity to become part of this historic celebration of international independent music excellence.
AIIARA is more than an award—it is a movement dedicated to empowering independent artists, promoting international radio exposure, and creating a global network where talent, hard work, and consistency are recognized and rewarded.

All contestants are required to submit their radio promotion flyer to their assigned A&R Representative. Please ensure that your flyer meets the required professional standard.
Deadline Reminder:
On 5th August, all contestants must submit their radio promotion campaign videos to their A&R Representative for assessment.
