1. Briefly introduce yourself.
My name is Olumuyiwa Oluwabukonla Mamuzo, and I am professionally known as Mamuzo. I am a Nigerian Gospel music minister, passionate about using music as a divine tool to spread the message of faith, hope, and salvation. My sound is deeply rooted in gospel music, blending worship, praise, and inspirational lyrics that uplift the soul and glorify God. Music, for me, is not just a career—it is a calling and a ministry.
2. Tell us about your background.
I am currently based in Lagos, Nigeria, where I continue to pursue my music ministry. I was born on September 18, 1992, also in Lagos, Nigeria. I come from a strong Christian background, being the child of Pastor Dr. Olumuyiwa Oluwasina and Evangelist Olumuyiwa Onezikome Patience. Growing up in a family dedicated to God’s work played a significant role in shaping my spiritual life, discipline, and musical direction.
3. What inspired or motivated you to pursue a career in music?
My motivation to pursue music came from a deep passion that began at a very young age. Music has always been a natural part of my life, and I discovered early on that I connected with God most deeply through songs. That passion grew stronger over time, and I realized that music was the best way for me to express my faith and inspire others. Gospel music, in particular, became my chosen path because it allows me to minister to people and draw souls closer to God.
4. When did you officially begin your music career?
I officially began my music journey at the age of five (5) when I joined the children’s choir in church. That early exposure helped me develop confidence, discipline, and a strong foundation in gospel music. From that young age, I continued to grow spiritually and musically, eventually transitioning into a full-fledged gospel music minister.

5. Have you recorded or released any songs?
Yes, I have recorded and released music. I released a powerful single titled “A Prayer for Nigeria,” which reflects my love for my country and my desire to see divine intervention in national affairs.
In addition, I released a seven-track gospel album titled “Damilare.” The album contains the following songs:
- Damilare
- A Prayer for Nigeria
- Emmanuel
- Baba Mi
- Helper of the Helpless
- Ti Jesu Ba De
- Modupe
Each song carries a strong spiritual message, focusing on worship, gratitude, divine help, and total reliance on God.
